Requirements for Participation

Trainees

Eligible Specialties

Candidates must hold qualifications in one of the following three specialties:

RadiologyNeurologyNeurosurgery

Accepted Qualifications

  • Egyptian Board (Fellowship)
  • Doctorate Degree (MD)
  • Arab Board
  • Other Equivalent Certificates

    (Recognized by the Egyptian Supreme Council of Universities)

Interview Requirement

All candidates must pass an interview with the scientific committee of the Egyptian Board of Neurointervention.

Mentors

1Option 1

More than 5 years after obtaining fellowship/MD/Arab Board/equivalent in one of the 3 eligible specialties.

OR
2Option 2

Master or MD thesis in a Neurointerventional topic AND more than 3 years after obtaining the required qualification.

Approval of the scientific committee of the Egyptian Board of Neurointervention is required.

Training Centers

Training centers must have:

    Necessary equipment and infrastructure

  • 2

    Availability of relevant medical specialties

  • 3

    Sufficient case volume for appropriate training

Training centers are evaluated according to the 15-criteria qualifications matrix.
