Egyptian Health Council Announces Launch of First Egyptian Board for Interventional Neurology
The Egyptian Health Council (EHC) officially announced the launch of the first Egyptian Board for Neurovascular Intervention during the 9th International Egyptian Stroke Conference and the 1st Egyptian National Stroke Network Conference in Cairo, April 2026. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Lotayf, CEO of the EHC, confirmed: 'Within two months, the first Egyptian Board in Interventional Neurology will be launched... This pioneering program is the first of its kind across the Middle East and Africa.' The event was attended by the Chair of EMC and the Chair of the Egyptian Medical Syndicate, and endorsed by ESO, ESMINT, and the World Stroke Organization.
Landmark Announcement at 9th International Egyptian Stroke Conference
In the context of advancing stroke care and strengthening national capacity in highly specialized neurological services, a landmark announcement was made during the 9th International Egyptian Stroke Conference and the 1st National Egyptian Stroke Network Conference. The event was endorsed by the European Stroke Organization (ESO), ESMINT, the World Stroke Organization, and the Angels Initiative.
Applications Open for June 2024 Training Cohort
The Egyptian Board for Neurovascular Intervention is now accepting applications for the June 2024 training cohort. Eligible candidates from Radiology, Neurology, and Neurosurgery specialties are encouraged to apply.
Training Hospital Accreditation Process Launched
The board has launched the formal accreditation process for training hospitals across Egypt. Hospitals meeting the 15-criteria qualifications matrix are invited to apply for accreditation.
